£230 – per day (£50 extra per person)
£130 – half day session 3 3/4 hours (£25 extra per person)
What to expect:
- Whether a beginner Intermediate or an advanced angler my objective is to make turning up a new venue no longer daunting- You will have the knowledge and a whole number of techniques in your armoury.
- We will look at the appropriate fishing equipment and flies, and plan what you want out of your day.
What you will learn:
- Casting Refresher which will allow you to get the best from your day.
- Entomology.
- Reading the lake and where to fish.
- Playing Fish (for beginners).
- Techniques of Dry Fly Fishing, a number of Nymphing techniques, Sinking Line Intermediate to Di 7.

What to expect:
My role will be to give you the best fishing day possible, with sessions tailored to your requirements. Whether it is on a dry fly only river or one that allows nymphs and wading, you will have a great day. My aim is to make you a more accomplished angler than when you started.
We will begin with a discussion about what you want from your day. This will be followed by a relaxed fishing session, putting you on fish, and making the necessary fly changes to make it a successful day.
As a Fly Fishing Guide I will take you to the best spots, with the correct fly, giving you the greatest chance of success.
What you will learn:
- Water craft, fly changes, entomology.
- Wading safely, when and where.
- Overcoming Drag covering fish, and their habitat, and where to look and cast.
- Dry Fly, Nymphing, and for advanced level: French, Czech, Spanish styles.
Fly Fishing Tuition Sessions take place on Lakes and Rivers.
If the sessions are at Press Manor Trout Lake in the Peak District the cost of your day ticket is included.
If the sessions are at Carsington, Blithfield, Rutland, Grafham , or on The Derwent , Dove, Derbyshire Wye the cost of your day ticket is added.
I can also travel to a venue of your choice, with a small charge to cover travelling costs.
