Carp Fishing Rules
Persons accessing Press Manor Fishing Lakes, do so at their own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any accident and/or injury to person’s vehicles or possessions, whilst on the premises. It is the person’s responsibility to ensure they are protected and are aware of the dangers associated with fishing, before entering the site.
If you wish to view the Carp Lake, please phone or e-mail me to arrange a suitable time. Do not access the lake to see a friend angling, or invite people down for visits whilst you are fishing.
- No Tents, only Fishing ‘Bivvies’ permitted.
For Bio Security -All Landing Nets and Un-hooking mats must be bone dry before fishing.
All litter to be taken home- Let us know if you pitch is NOT clear of litter on arrival.
- A third rod maybe used for an additional cost of £2.00 per day or per session provided the third rod is used with discretion.
For security reasons night fisherman’s vehicles are will be locked in, until opening time in the morning which is 8.00 am.
Carp are not to be lifted above knee height at any time.
All fish to be carefully returned to the Carp lake.
No Keep Nets sacks to be used at any time.
Bait Bans: no Nuts, Beans of any kind, and no artificial baits on rigs.
Zig Rigs are not to be used.
Manufactured Barbless hooks only. (Flattened barbs are no longer permitted).
No lead core, fixed leads, or snag leaders.
Coated Braid Hook Lengths are permitted.
Use large thick un-hooking mats, and 36inch Landing Nets, and no unattented rods.
Courtesy to all other anglers, No radios, open fires, disposable bar-b-ques, swimming, or heavy drinking. The highest standard of behaviour is expected from all. As noise carries on water, from 10pm noise must stop.
Bait Boats- Contact owner before you visit.
If an Angler arrives opposite you, reel your rigs in, so they are no more than half way across the lake.
No Guests (except Wives and Girlfriends £5.00 fee is charged) and no vehicles are to be driven on site at night.
Remember these rules only exist to ensure the welfare of the Carp, and the consistency of your sport. If a method of fishing may cause damage to my Carp then please don’t use that method of fishing!
