Press Manor offers professional fly fishing tuition, casting instruction and guided fishing with Bernie Maher, an AAPGAI and APGAI qualified instructor and current England international.
Whether you are picking up a fly rod for the first time or want to refine your technique on stillwater or river, sessions are tailored to your ability and goals.
Corporate and group days are also available at the fishing lodge, with equipment, tuition and catering arranged for you.
River casting sessions require a minimum booking of 2 hours.
Rods and reels can be hired for a small charge for the rest of your day after a casting lesson.
What you’ll learn:
Includes a casting refresher, entomology, reading the lake and where to fish, and dry fly, nymphing and sinking line techniques.
What to expect:
If your session is at Press Manor Trout Lake, your day ticket is included.
Peacock stretch, Derbyshire Wye / Derwent (day ticket included):
For two people, add £100.00 to the above (including day tickets).
What to expect:
Sessions on other venues have the day ticket added, and travel can be arranged to a venue of your choice.
Bernie has organised corporate fishing days for many years, working with a team of experienced guides to cater for groups of any size, regardless of previous fishing experience.
It’s important that your guests come away having learned a new skill and made memories that last, not just caught fish. Having spent his own career in professional sport and corporate environments, Bernie understands the value of looking after clients and colleagues properly.
All fishing equipment and licences can be included, so there’s nothing for your guests to arrange themselves.
