Fishing Report – 14th October 2026

Trout Lake

After being slow in catches last week, the lake has fished really well with good numbers of trout coming out.
Dry fly is working especially using emerger variants especially shuttlecocks in black and Daddy Longlegs.
No best areas, the key is to keep moving after 15 mins or so of fishing.
Boats have been doing really well especially in the shallow end of the lake.

Carp Lake

Fishing was slow over the weekend, a 19lb Carp came out the previous week caught using pop up boilie.
I checked the temperature and is at 14.5 degrees C, as it gets colder the carp will move to the deeper end of the lake by the dam, especially early and late in the day.

Coarse Lake

The lake fished a little slower than normal yesterday. One angler did well on Monday using Wafters and had some consistent sport and a number of F1’s.
Red maggot still seems to be the most consistent bait.
Best pegs are 5 through to 26. If you’re fishing the low numbered bank numbers i.e. right hand side as you look from the carpark, remember sunglasses as the sun is low this time of the year.
